Overview

Position Description:

The Quote Proposal Specialist processes and maintains all large-scale depot and onsite quotations for the organization.   Responsible for providing detailed pricing information to our Sales and Operations teams in a precise and efficient manner. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Order Processing:

  • Audit customer equipment lists provided by sales representatives to ensure sufficient information has been provided.
  • Create and process quote orders in the ERP system and register pertinent details in the calibration quote log.
  • Navigate the Transcat Onsite Job Maintenance System to build calibration pricing quotes.
  • Use Pricing Matrix to accurately price and determine primary lab capabilities.
  • Manage and apply discount formulas as requested by the Sales team. Utilize travel/per diem process to determine travel charges for Onsite quotations.
  • Submit finalized quotes to Lab Operations for review, indicating any issues or concerns.
  • Create/revise quotations based on internal or customer directives.
  • Prepare quote delivery proposals for sales representatives’ delivery to prospects/customers.
  • Prepare monthly onsite recalibration quotations as generated by the Onsite Job Maintenance System, ensuring lists are accurate representations of previous calibration cycle’s work performed.
  • Notify applicable Sales representatives of impending onsite recalls.
  • Submit Onsite recalls to sales for delivery, making any changes requested by customer. Distribute to Lab Operations for technical and logistics review and assist in coordinating with the lab to ensure adequate tech time is allotted to the onsite.

Reporting

  • Generate onsite recall reporting and engage Sales personnel to drive proactive outreach.
  • Generate Ad Hoc Data reporting and customer analysis upon request.

Operational and Administrative

  • Assist with process improvement or strategic initiatives related to customer quoting & pricing management.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from internal partners.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience in Sales, purchasing or quoting preferred.
