Here’s what Transcat has to offer—
Operations audits: Assist on internal process/technical audits and/or verification of corrective action, as designated by the department manager. This includes documenting the audit results and logging audits to unveil trends within a lab or across all labs.
Procedures and Training: Develop and/or modify policies, procedures, and training modules, based on the outcome of audits or as designated by the department manager.
Quote Process: Review completed quotes for technical accuracy and create and/or modify entries in the pricing/capabilities database in order to present accurate information in an effort to reduce the dependence of Sales on Engineering and/or Operations in generating accurate quotes. Work with Contracts/Sales/Marketing during quote function on large jobs to ensure vendor qualifications, contracts, special handling, etc. on TMS items.
Vendor management: Includes qualification of vendors to required standards, maintaining approved database, nuclear/FDA audits, working with the labs to find accredited sources (where there might be more than one, work with Purchasing to obtain best price & delivery, etc.), vendor corrective actions, monitoring vendor Transcat Managed Service (TMS)/asset cal metrics. Work with vendors to implement needed improvements in techniques, as required.
Frequent travel is required.
