Operates within Transcat Biomedical sales & retention organization as an individual contributor with collaborative growth responsibilities. This position also has exposure and the potential for responsibility for larger key accounts assigned within the geographic region that have a national footprint as assigned by management. While a sales & marketing position by nature, there is a high degree of overlap into customer service and administrative duties, which fluctuate greatly due to customer demand and team availability.

Responsibilities

  • The successful professional in this role will bring influence and knowledge to assist in the implementation of the sales and service methodologies needed to support the existing and new base of customer business to Transcat Biomedical; this includes utilizing CRM systems and recording of activities, pipeline management, modern onsite scheduling, and process improvement opportunities in addition to general customer care.
  • A successful candidate will be measured on a combination of retained existing accounts, portfolio growth, as well as net new customer service starts over the course of each fiscal year. This will be judged both on invoiced dollar production as well as ensuring that the customer milestones of required minimum customer outcome and appropriate service experience have been met.
  • The position be based predominantly out of the Transcat Biomedical laboratory and offices in Paxinos, PA and may entail other customer-driven travel, especially in the instance of larger account maintenance and customer business reviews and tradeshow and marketing activity.
  • Responsible for developing new business in target markets and incremental business with existing customers through contact with customers via the telephone and email, targeting companies that Transcat Biomedical has labeled as key in achieving strategic growth.
  • Ensures overall exceptional customer satisfaction is being delivered in order to strengthen and grow the business relationship. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Maintain professional phone etiquette at all times.
  • Lead generation and prospecting will be required. Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell calibration services.
  • Completes general reporting on the territory activity in relation to quote status, planning and sales analysis as needed and requested by management.
  • Becomes technically astute and knowledgeable on services while demonstrating a consistent effort to increase job skills in technical proficiency.
  • Maintains an environment of a teammate, continuous improvement and learning and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver history and ability to travel domestically in the United States
  • Must be detail oriented, customer facing, and ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; OR one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ Years of Calibration Sales Experience, Familiarity with hospital systems, biomedical equipment, process improvement, and experience managing conflicting priorities preferred
