A senior warehouse personnel should expect to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties

Responsibilities

  • The employee must be able to perform the following warehouse operations error free with little direction/supervision:
    • Receive in product and stock on appropriate shelves
    • Thoroughly read pick tickets/work orders
    • Pull product to ship or stage (domestic and international)
    • Ship product, lab and customer equipment
    • Build and assemble special order kits
    • Process credits
    • Schedule appropriate couriers
  • Understand and use internal computer system (A+), UPS software and other couriers web pages/software 
  • Complete training on operational procedures  
  • Maintain and organize all required paperwork 
  • Inspect the physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Report any defects or needed repairs to their manager 
  • Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and
    purchasing 
  • Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities 
  • Participate in performing shelf audits, cycle counts and the yearly physical inventory with the ability to research inaccuracies 
  • Additional responsibilities may include creating, receiving, internal movement through the lab and shipping rentals 
  • Other duties as directed

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To be considered for a senior warehouse personnel position, the following knowledge, skills and abilities are required 

  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while completing work in a timely manner
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to use a fork lift, pallet jack and complete required training
  • Valid drivers’ license (varies at locations)
  • Proven computer skills
