  • Pay range is $18.00 - $24.00/hour

 

Responsible for collecting on delinquent accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Request and pursues payment on delinquent accounts via communication with customers.
  • Utilize basic internet and computer search tools to locate customer contact information.
  • Negotiate payment terms and schedules on delinquent accounts.
  • Follow established guidelines to review and update account status.
  • Maintain detailed records payment promises and pertinent account details; schedule follow-up communication with customers.
  • Minimize objections for payment and suggest available customer-friendly payment options.
  • Accept payments over the phone via credit card.
  • Communicate escalations with management and other team members.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and cash receipt reports.
  • Assist in compiling information for bankruptcy claims and collection agency placements.
  • May assist in reviews, investigations and corrections of errors and inconsistencies in invoicing.
  • Other duties and projects as directed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required: 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multitask           

 

Education and/or Experience                                        

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
