Position Summary

The systems administrator will be responsible for the documentation, setup, support and maintenance of the AWS and on-premises infrastructures. This includes, but is not limited to, installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.

  • Network documentation, maintenance, support
  • Server documentation, installation, support, maintenance
  • AWS environment setup, support, maintenance
  • VMware VSphere/ESXi setup, support, maintenance
  • SQL server maintenance and support
  • Active Directory documentation and maintenance
  • Firewall maintenance and support
  • SAN maintenance and support
  • Backup documentation and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Systems administration of cloud and on-premises environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server installation, patching and maintenance
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and common open-source utilities
  • Working knowledge of SQL server – MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems administration, networking or a related discipline
  • Experience with switch configuration/maintenance (Aruba)
  • Experience with Python, Bash, Powershell
  • Experience with VMware VSphere and ESXi
  • Experience with Veeam B&R
  • Experience with Firewalls
  • Experience with Office 365 administration
