Position Summary

The Client Calibration Technician II will be the customer interface and requires administrative support of the customer relationship.  They should be comfortable in independent decision making to proactively communicate with customers, escalate concerns to management when needed and prioritize work without high levels of supervision. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques while maintaining calibration standards
  • Perform calibration work with little to no supervision and conduct independent research when necessary
  • Scheduling calibration activities with the Asset Owners
  • Performing a variety of instrument calibrations daily and documenting the calibrations in a validated system.
  • Perform calibrations within a laboratory or customer on-site setting with little to no direction
  • Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Determine out of tolerance conditions for customer instruments and calibration standards
  • Support the customer with equipment order processing, procuring and receiving any outsourced services or supplies, and shipping and receiving customer equipment
  • Comfortable in independent decision making to proactively communicate with customers, escalate concerns to management when needed and prioritize work without high levels of supervision
  • Model the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge and competency in at least four (4) disciplines and expert in one (1) discipline, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
  • Good hygiene practices
  • Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
  • Ability to communicate well with supervisors, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Three (3) years driving experience with a valid driver’s license
  • Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Familiar with multimeters, pressure calibrators, and tachometers
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology,Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics, preferred

 

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree from college or technical school, or three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) years of commercial calibration experience, preferred
