We are Searching for—

 

A full-time Project Manager, which is responsible for successfully delivering projects to our clients, on time and within budget. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel up to 50% of the time. Initial startup phase of projects may require up to 4 workdays a week onsite. You will report directly to our Project Service Lead.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities— 

  • Project Management
    • Development and upkeep of detailed project plans, dashboards, and employee feedback questionnaires.
    • Effectively utilize project plans to manage day-to-day objectives, time, scope, resourcing, and risk.
    • Support Projects Service Lead with financial management of all managed projects.
    • Facilitate regular project meetings while demonstrating effective communication skills with all project stakeholders regarding project status, progress, and issues.
    • Address Stakeholder concerns and ensure alignment with project objectives.
    • Monitor projects for inefficiencies or deficiencies, and partner with the Service Leads to implement corrective actions as needed to improve project quality.
    • Conduct external stakeholder project closure meetings to display successes and to close out the project.
    • Conduct internal project closure meetings to evaluate performance and identify lessons learned, to provide recommendations for future projects.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Protect & further develop the strong relationship between Transcat & the client.
    • Proactively work with client contacts and other onsite partners to identify new business opportunities.
  • Task Management
    • Delegate project tasks & set deadlines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field. Masters preferred. Leadership course desirable.
  • 3+ years’ experience in leading Project-related work. Life Science experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience as a Project Manager.
  • Certified PMP, PRINCE 2 or other industry standard PM Certification.
  • Proven skills / Experience in Project Management methodologies.
  • Proven skills / Experience in People Management.
  • Proven skills / Experience in Client Management.
  • Ability to lead project huddles, team meetings, and client project update meetings.
  • Ability to create detailed Project Plans, Dashboards and KPIs.
  • Ability to produce well-written technical reports that can be shared with highest levels of management.
  • Ability to present to clients / colleagues alike in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in multiple software platforms, particularly MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lucidchart, Smartsheet / MS Project.
  • Ability to take on a lead role, with the requirement to coach a number of direct reports. The number of direct reports will be determined by project type and chargeable hours.
  • Ability to travel upto 50% of the time.
