Position Summary

The Administrative Support position provides assistance in the operation of departments within the lab.  The successful candidate will provide scheduling and administrative support to lab management, organizational and procurement assistance to the lab, help administer the on-site technician program, and serve as a resource for Lab Support.

 

This position requires a high degree of accuracy, the ability to multitask in a fast past environment, and experience gathering data from multiple systems. 

Responsibilities

  • Answering/directing incoming calls
  • Assisting with general office filing
  • Contact customers to obtain purchase orders and credit cards
  • Following up with technicians to ensure prompt invoicing of on-site projects
  • Organizing and tracking lab expenses
  • Maintaining calendars for management and conference room
  • Signing for packages/ occasionally helps with receiving trucks
  • Processing incoming equipment from walk-in customers
  • Managing building access
  • Other duties as directed.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Proficient with systems and workflows
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to work with others
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be detail-oriented

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a technical environment.
