The general purpose of the Laboratory Assistant is to assist the operations team with daily duties, perform on-site logistics with customers and assist with any general needs of the laboratory. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Composing emails to customers for reminders (Weekly)
  • Making calls to customers about reminders or missing documentation (Daily)
  • Creating work orders for on-site calibrations (Daily)
  • Helping customers with questions and scheduling calibration (Daily)
  • QC pipettes in the morning (Daily)
  • Scheduling Pipettes for calibration via Email or Phone (Weekly)
  • Customer service relations (Daily)
  • Customer service liaison to key accounts, which may require working with the logistics department of said key account to facilitate getting their pipettes calibrated each month. This may also require traveling to the account location multiple times per month
  • On an as needed basis
    • Answering and directing calls
    • Wrap instruments for transportation
    • Maintaining backup records with local server for off-site storage
    • Perform on-site logistics for calibration customers
    • Emailing Electronic certificates to customers
  • Model the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Clean driving record
  • Must demonstrate computer skills/be willing to learn new database

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Advanced science degree, preferred
