Proficiency and expertise are determined in accordance with Transcat’s technician skills progression matrix. A Senior Calibration Technician/Team Lead will be capable of completing work independently within the lab or onsite at a customer location, with limited or no guidance. In addition to fulfilling the role of Senior Calibration Technician, a Team Lead is a strategic member of the lab management team and is on a career path to advance in a leadership role within Transcat.  Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and lead others is a requirement of the position.   CCT or CMT certification is desired for this role.

Training will be provided, and technicians are expected to learn the skills and processes necessary to perform non-calibration work within the lab environment. This position requires a mix of local and overnight travel to customer facilities to calibrate their critical test equipment coupled with in-lab work. Pipetting experience is preferred but not required.  All training and equipment will be provided.

Summary- Pipette Technician 1 is an entry-level position, requiring no prior experience. Trainees will be able to calibrate pipettes, as well as scales/balances, centrifuges, or various temperature devices.  Training will be provided, and technicians are expected to learn the skills and processes necessary to perform calibration work within the lab environment.
